Construction insolvencies hit series low

Insolvencies decline

Construction insolvencies hit their lowest level in years in the March quarter.

Doesn't quite fit the narrative!

Overall company insolvencies declined from 2,309 in the September 2019 quarter to just 1,703 in the first quarter of calendar year 2020.

Realistically there may be hundreds of construction insolvencies in the post for as long as the borders remain shut, since this will undermine the demand for new housing, and nothing will get built.
