Day of the Triffid

Gig night yesterday at The Triffid in Newstead, which just happens to be in the very thick of Brisbane's newest high-rise hub.

Occupancy rates generally look to be rising...


Of course, you'll never get all the lights on at one time in these units, since almost everyone around here seems to eat out in the surrounding restaurants at the Gasworks. 


Even midweek, the bars and restaurants are jam-packed...


The AFR/CoreLogic reported that Brisbane's off-the-plan apartment prices increased from $5,665 per square metre to $6,362 per square metre in 2017, to put prices essentially back to where they were two years earlier.
