Job ads falling further

Job ads fell another -4.2 per cent in August, or -8,900 ads, to 202,500.

While ads are still above where they were in 2019, the year-on-year decline of -12.2 per cent continues a decline from 300,000 to 200,000 total roles promoted, according to the latest Jobs & Skills Australia figures.

The declines are taking place right across the board.

The ABS will release that latest labour force survey for August tomorrow morning, with all eyes likely to be on the reported unemployment rate.
