The EU-28 unemployment rate has gone from 11 per cent in Q2 2013 to a record low for the Eurozone bloc since the data was first collected in 2000, at 6.3 per cent.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rates for the US and Japan are also plotted in the chart below:

These results have been achieved in spite of tighter fiscal policy in Europe and Japan.
A huge amount has been achieved, given the circumstances.
The UK's unemployment rate has also hit a 44-year low of 3.8 per cent (and the employment rate is at the equal highest level since 1971 at 76.1 per cent).
