April figures released
A moderate +0.1 per cent gain in dwelling values was reported for April by CoreLogic.
It was the 17th consecutive monthly gain.
The index will likely decline in May as it often has each year since 2012.
Over the year to April 2017 the fastest capital growth was recorded by Sydney (+16 per cent) and then Melbourne (+15.3 per cent), and the weakest was seen in the resources capitals of Perth (-6 per cent) and Darwin (-2.3 per cent).
The combined capital cities recorded 11.2 per cent capital growth over the year to a median dwelling price of $625,800.
