New homes sales eased 1.1 per cent in March according to the Housing Industry Association (HIA).

The decline was driven by detached house sales which declined by 1.4 per cent.
Detached houses sales declined in all states and territories except for New South Wales, which rebounded from a weak February.
Multi-unit sales declined by just 0.1 per cent in the month.
There are more substantial declines to come from these cyclical highs.
