Rents accelerate

Vacancies tracking low

Rental listings continue to track more than a third below average, according to CoreLogic's latest figures.

Capital cities (1.3 per cent) and especially regional centres (1.0 per cent) are both seeing rental vacancy rates way below their decade averages.

Rents are now accelerating across most of the country.

Rising interest rates may be a deterrent for investors, with immigration resuming forthwith.

Expecting to see auctions for rentals at this rate.

As anticipated by financial markets the Reserve Bank increased the cash rate target by 50 basis points to 1.35 per cent this afternoon.
