Vacancies fall to record lows

Vacancies down again in October

Rental vacancy rates fell to record lows in October, at just 1.02 per cent, according to PropTrack.

Vacancy rates continued to decline in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, Canberra, and Perth.

Meanwhile, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth all have rental vacancy rates below 1 per cent, which is extremely tight.

Dwelling completions are likely to fall from here as more developments stall or are cancelled, while immigration is running at all-time highs.
