Post-election strength
Home values increased in the fourth quarter of 2019, with gains led by Sydney (+6.2 per cent), Melbourne (+6.1 per cent) and Brisbane (+2.4 per cent).
This was offset by a decline in Darwin.

The quarterly gain was the fastest in the 10 years since late 2009.
Add this to a monster year of gains for Aussie and international stocks, and this has pushed per capita household wealth to record highs in 2019.
