Double digit growth in job ads

Annual growth in job advertisements jumped from 7.1 per in March to 10.1 per cent in April.

ANZ believes that the official employment data may be heading for a "sustained period of strength" on the basis of these figures.

There were 169,268 job advertisements record in April 2017, well up from 144,703 two years ago in April 2015.
