This mirrors a lack of employment growth since the middle of the year, signalling a gentle cooling in economic conditions to date.

Queensland recorded the strongest growth in job ads over the month and the year (+29 per cent).

The ABS reported yesterday that over the five years to the 2021 Census Queensland attracted a net +100,000 Australians from interstate.
