This morning, Australia's 10 year government bond yield touched a new record low of just 2.03 per cent.
Australia's government bond yields had been rising in 2013. In fact, the 10 year bond snuck above 4 per cent on 23 June 2013, at 4.04 per cent.
And in early 2008 the equivalent yield was well above 6 per cent.
But times have changed, and low rates appear to be the order of the day for the foreseeable future.
