ANZ-Roy Morgan's consumer confidence poll rose again by another +1.6 points to 116.4 to now be well above the 25 year average of 112.7.
This tidy increase follows on from a +3.1 per cent rise in the preceding survey.
Consumer confidence is now at its highest level for 2016, and although there was a slightly higher reading in November 2015, the result is essentially as good as it gets in recent times.
The main driver was consumer attitudes to personal finances for the year ahead which jumped by +5.4 per cent.
The index which records current finances compared to a year ago also increased by +3.8 per cent.
Good to see.
