It has been more than a few years coming but London's South Bank Tower now at last appears to be taking it final shape.
Redevelopment of the formerly named "King's Reach Tower" has been an ongoing matter over the past decade, with repeat applications to increase the height of the tower, now to above 150 metres.
The colossal and mightily impressive 309 metre Shard to the left of shot is located close to London Bridge and was completed in 2012.
The South Bank is one of Britain's most popular destinations, with the Tate Modern attracting millions of visitors each year, and the famosu Oxo Tower restaurant (below) still considered to have of the most inspiring views of the London skyline.
The new South Bank tower will supply around 190 new apartments as well as retail units.
