Land prices rise
Land prices rose by +5.2 per cent over the year to June 2015, reports the Housing Industry Association (HIA).
Over the 5 years from June 2015 the median lot value across Australia has increased by around 16 per cent to just above $215,000.
Despite a rebound in the number of lot sales, volumes remained below where they where in the prior year corresponding period, reported the HIA.
Previous releases by the HIA have shown a large discrepancy between the very strong price gains in capital cities and slower price gains regional Australia.
