Sydney's inner west records record 87% clearance rate

As regular readers will know the inner west is the hot sector of the property markets - and how! 

A record 87% of properties sold at auction on Saturday according to APM.

Of all properties auctioned in Sydney a very strong 75.6% of them sold at a median price of some $880,000.

This is a very marked improvement on last year's equivalent of 54%.

Auction results also continue to be strong in Melbourne.

Curiously, RP Data's 'Daily Home Value Index' shows that prices have receded in May.

Of course, property is an asset class which should be assessed over a period of years, not days, but it still appears a little odd.
